  • Goals outcomes assessment

    Learning objectives

    The student has the possibility to meet the origin of fossil fuels and their composition. He meets transformation of organic substances in geosphere, and he has formed the full picture concerning the organic carbon cycle. A student meets the fate of oil type pollutants in all segments of the environment (migration, evaporation, photodegradation, biodegradation, adsorption, water emulsification) and environment remediation from oil (bioremediation).

     

    Learning outcomes

    • The student acquires knowledge that allows him to start working in a group that deals with prospecting exploration of oil and gas.
    • The student acquires the basis for scientific work in the field of organic geochemistry.
    • The student acquires knowledge that allows him to solve the problems of oil pollution and perform remediation of various segments of the environment.

     

    Assessment

    For all outcomes, in laboratory exercises, verification of knowledge for each individual exercise, as well as periodical written colloquiums. Permanent supervision of the assistant is provided. At the end, final colloquium and a detailed oral examination related to both laboratory exercises and theoretical knowledge is organized.
