    Remediation (MSc course)

    Learning objectives

    The primary objective of the course is to enable students to familiarize themselves with the behavior of harmful substances in the environment, and to gain knowledge of existing technologies for the sustainable remediation of parts of the ecosystem, whose pollution is a consequence of the activities of man-industrial society.

     

    Learning outcomes

    • Students are adopted theoretical and experimental knowledge and skills of basic remediation technologies.
    • Students understand the possibilities and importance of application of chemical, physical and bioremediation technologies in the real environment of industry.

     

    Assessment

    • Outcome 1:  Written seminary work with tasks related to industrial scale remediation.
    • Outcome 2:  Oral exam with case studies and tasks formulated in such way to show how students understand possibilities of various remediation technologies.
